Whenever you type a message or searching with your iPhone, there is always a clicking sound effect.  There are users who really like the cute sound effects of iPhone keyboard. This helps them to type easier on a virtual keyboard for some reasons. However, there are other users who do not like the keyboard sound and they find it somehow annoying, especially when the phone starts to lag and the clicks are delayed.

Turn On and Off Keyboard Sounds

The keyboard sound effects are loved and also hated by many people. If you want permanently turn the keyboard click sound off, simply follow these step by step instructions.

Step 1: From home screen, open the Settings app.

Step 2: Tap Sounds.

Step 3: Scroll all the way down to the bottom and find Keyboard Clicks.

Step 4: Simply tap the switch to toggle it off.

Step 5: Close Settings.

That’s how you change it. It will only take you 10 seconds to turn it off. If you want to turn it back on, simply do all the steps again and toggle the switch on next to Keyboard Clicks.

Turn OFF Keyboard Sounds with Mute

For people who love the keyboard sounds and want to temporarily disable it, you can always choose the easiest way to do it which is muting your phone. If you are in a library for instance, a simple flip of the mute switch can silence the clicking sounds. When you go out of the library, you can simply flip the switch to ringer. This way, you do not have to go to Settings and do all the steps above.
